ZeroVerge Gallery
Welcome to my online photo collection. Here’s the deal: I’ve gotten really lazy in trying to customize the site to put up my photos. Besides, I found a much easier way to organize my photos online. No, it’s not Flickr. It’s Picasa, by Google. It also happens to be one of my recommended software by Google on the sidebar to the right, where I told you I use what I recommend, right? So let this be proof.
For those wondering why I choose Picasa, in short, I have noted some reasons:
- Picasa itself is a simple, yet flexible photo organizing software on the computer
- It is compatible with Flickr (by Yahoo!) and Blogger (by Google)
- If you don’t use Flickr and Blogger, you can hide those buttons (For me this is very important, since I don’t like seeing things I don’t use)
- I can crop, resize, do basic colour correction, redeye and simple effects without opening resource hogging applications like Adobe Photoshop (For the more complex editing, I do, but most of the time, I don’t)
- I can rename my collections (which renames folders in the background and that’s a nice thing) and batch edit my photos (once again, without opening Adobe Photoshop)
- Uploading to Picasa Web Albums is so simple, it should be illegal (just a figure of speech, I don’t mean it)
- And it’s free
By the way, I started my Picasa Web Album for my ZeroVerge Gallery when it first launched. It is still in Beta and accounts are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so grab yours while you still can!
